Kuhner Images comprises the work of the family team of Russ and Mary Kuhner.

Russ Kuhner is a digital media artist specializing in video and sound design for live performance, installation works and multimedia content produced for the web.

He holds an MA in media arts and a BFA in Performing Arts Technology from the
University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre and Dance. He has interned in New York with experimental filmmaker Abigail Child and also with the off-Broadway theater and media group 3-Legged Dog. The latter experience was supplemented by a live-video workshop with the dance company Troika Ranch.

His most recent projects include three video works for dance presented in the Power Center for the Performing Arts; a series of site-specific installations that were temporarily located in Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor; and a video installation premiered at the 2007 Waterfront Film Festival in Saugatuck, Michigan.

Mary Kuhner has been playing with cameras for more than 40 years, having started in high school processing her own black and white film and prints then progressing eventually to archiving images during a career that also included teaching, writing and editing.   Photography has always been her craft and has informed her livelihood. Over the years she has photographed natural landscapes and wildlife across the US and Scottish Isles and the sacred sites of Japan. She currently shoots exclusively in a digital environment and uses state of the art equipment to create images that can be used online or printed in various formats.
